What is Low Blood Pressure?
Low blood pressure is also known as
Hypotension.
Usually Systolic blood pressure is
90 mmHg and Diastolic blood pressure below 60mmHg, it is called Low Blood
Pressure. If the pressure drops too much, blood cannot flow properly to the
brain, kidneys and heart. The result is illness. So, if the pressure is low, it
is important to take some basic steps at home.
Causes of low blood pressure
* Dehydration due to any reason.
* Diarrhoea or excessive vomiting.
* Not eating food properly or on
time.
* Malabsorption or poor digestion.
* Suffering from any long-term
illness.
* Hormonal imbalance in the body.
Low blood pressure can occur due to
physical injury or accidental bleeding and malnutrition. Pregnant women may
experience low blood pressure during the first six months of pregnancy due to
hormonal effects.
Symptoms
1. Dizziness
2. Fainting
3. Darkness in the eyes or blurred
vision,
4. Dizziness or imbalance when
standing up suddenly from sitting or lying down,
5. Physical weakness and mental
exhaustion
6. Not being able to focus on
anything
7. Frequent shortness of breath or
cold hands and feet
8. Feeling very thirsty
9. Abnormally fast heart rate
10. If the pulse rate increases, you
should understand that you have low blood pressure.
What to do if low pressure or low
blood pressure?
● If the blood pressure drops
immediately, give saline, salt and salt-mixed food and eggs.
● Foods high in salt can quickly
raise blood pressure. So if you have high blood pressure, doctors say to avoid
raw salt. Similarly, if the blood pressure is low, it is recommended to eat
salty foods. For this you can keep olives, cheese, any sea fish in the diet.
You can use table salt or sea salt as per your preference.Apart from this, a
glass of water mixed with salt can quickly bring low pressure back to normal.
● Consuming caffeinated foods such
as tea and coffee is not at all harmful to health! Unless sweetened or milk is
added. Drinking black coffee or tea increases the heart rate faster.
Temporarily increases blood pressure. But its effect lasts for a short period
of time. In addition, there is no guarantee that caffeine will increase blood
pressure in all cases. If the pressure drops suddenly and you feel sick; Then
you can drink tea or coffee for temporary relief.
● Water must be drunk to save life. However, it is mandatory
to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day to keep the body hydrated. Along with
this, liquid drinks, which will act as water supplements, should be consumed.
Blood volume decreases when the body becomes dehydrated. As a result, blood
pressure decreases. So you can overcome the problem of low pressure by drinking
enough water.
